The INP is looking for a Post-doctoral researcher wishing to conduct innovative research by joining the Nivet lab.
The Institute of NeuroPhysiopathology (INP) at Aix-Marseille Université/CNRS combines basic and translational research in a stimulating and friendly working environment (https://inp.univ-amu.fr). The Nivet lab is at the forefront of innovative discoveries, and we are seeking a highly motivated and talented Post-Doctoral Fellow Specialist in CRISPR-based Genome Editing to join our dynamic team. We are committed to making a positive impact on human health by conducting cutting-edge research. The candidate will work in the context of a collaborative effort to lead a research project carrying conceptual and technical novelty, being at the interface between fundamental and applied research.
As a Post-Doctoral Fellow Specialist in CRISPR-based Genome Editing, you will be an integral part of our research team. You will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects aimed at applying CRISPR-based genome editing techniques to generate cell models able to address new biological questions with translational perspectives. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
The INP is located on the Marseille Health Sciences campus, alongside other leading laboratories covering a wide range of topics. In addition, the INP offers an internationally competitive research environment in partnership with the biotechnology spin-off company Vect-Horus. State-of-the-art technology facilities include super-resolution and HCS microscopy, an iPS cell platform, a biophysics platform for the study of molecular interactions, and a SPF rodent facility with space for surgery and animal behaviour studies. Other facilities available on campus include a virus production and use facility, MRI and PET imaging.
The INP is a member of NeuroMarseille (https://neuro-marseille.org), the 2nd largest neuroscience community in France, and of NeuroSchool, the Graduate School of Neuroscience (https://neuro-marseille.org/en/training/). The INP is also part of the CIVIS European University (https://civis.eu/fr), thus favouring scientific and training synergies in an international environment.
Last but not least, the INP is located in the center of Marseille, close to the Parc National des Calanques and the scenic and cultural charms of Provence, which perfectly complements the dynamism of Marseille and its region as a place to live and work in science.
