Context
LE STUDIUM welcomes experienced international researchers to the research institutes and laboratories and enterprises of Centre-Val de Loire region and offer them an inspiring multidisciplinary environment to conduct their research work and open up to a variety of scientific projects.
LE STUDIUM proposes innovative scientific exchange initiatives, networking activities and scientific events open to the international faculty of LE STUDIUM fellows, in order to favour cross-disciplinary exchanges with regional and international scientific communities, and to build human capacity for research, development and innovation.
For the 2024 call for applications, the Smart Loire Valley (SLV) Programme offers three types of awards with mutual obligations between the awardee, the host research institute/laboratory and LE STUDIUM. Beyond supporting the international mobility of applicants, the SLV programme aims to create sustainable collaborative projects and links between researchers and regional laboratories, enterprises and their counterparts all over the world.

Duration
3 to 12 months
Eligibility
This programme aims to attract experienced international researchers willing to conduct a high quality and innovative research project in collaboration with one of the research research institutes/laboratories of the Centre-Val de Loire region.
Eligible candidates should meet the following conditions:
- Be national or long-term resident of a country other than France that is not to have resided in France for more than 12 months in the three years preceding the closing date of the call for applications. Compulsory national service and/or short stays such as holidays are not taken into account.
- Have negotiated their acceptance to a host research institute / laboratory in Centre-Val de Loire.
Visiting Researchers / Professorships
- To be in possession of a doctoral degree and have at least five years of full-time equivalent research experience after their doctorate.
- Hold a work contract (permanent or not) in a foreign university or research institution during the residency
Integration Fellowship
- To be in possession of a doctoral degree and have three years to ten years of full-time equivalent research experience after their doctorate.
- To commit to apply to a permanent position in one of the regional research centres during the academic year 2023-2024, and to apply again in the course of next academic year if needed.
