Will we see Kate Middleton and Prince William at the Paris Olympics?

Celebrity sightings abound at this year’s Olympic Games. Maybe the Prince and Princess of Wales will be next.

We’re just a few days into the Paris Olympics, and we’ve already had a raft of celebrities spotted in the stands: Ariana Grande, Tom Cruise, Lady Gaga, Jessica Chastain, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Nick Jonas. And that was just to watch Simone Biles execute a jaw-dropping comeback — to Taylor Swift’s “… Are You Ready For It?” naturally — in the gymnastics qualifiers!

As of right now, the number of British Royal Family members spotted spectating is much lower at just one: Princess Anne — mere weeks after a “freak accident” with one of her horses landed her in hospital — handing out medals in her capacity as president of the British Olympic Association and as a former Olympic equestrian herself. (Widening our scope beyond the Windsors, there have been a few other royals present, like Australia-born Queen Mary of Denmark and her husband, plus Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco, who swam for South Africa in the 2000 Olympics.)
