Gary Trent Jr. agrees to one-year deal with the Bucks

Trent, 26, will be a free agent again after the 2024-25 season where there should be more money and opportunities in the market.

The Raptors had internal discussions about bringing Trent back but settled instead to build for the future with second-year forward/guard Gradey Dick and Ja’Kobe Walter, the swingman the Raptors took with the 19th pick in the June draft.

Terms of Trent’s deal were not announced. He was paid about $18.6 million (U.S.) on his last Raptors contract.

The six-foot-five Trent averaged 13.7 points, 1.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds with Toronto last season and shot 39.3 per cent from three-point range.
